SCM Realty Services has signed four leases at Barker Cypress Village, a new shopping center being built on the southeast corner of Barker Cypress and West Roads in Cypress, officials confirmed with Community Impact Journal April 26.

The project consists of two buildings totaling 16,900 square feet. Leases were signed with Summer Moon Coffee, Jersey Mike’s Subs, and Crust Pizza Co. in the first building, and Smoothie King signed as the first tenant for the second building.

Brady Latimer, marketing associate at SCM Realty Services, said negotiations are underway with a dental group and a hamburger concept as potential future tenants. Assuming those leases are finalized, the project would have three remaining spaces – a 1,750 square foot and 1,400 square foot space in the first building and a 1,575 square foot space in the second building.

Latimer said the spaces are expected to be handed over to tenants on May 9, and local residents can expect to see businesses begin opening their doors to the public within the next six months.
