As the day of love draws closer and closer, think about the kind of dining experience you crave this Valentine’s Day: do you want something low-key and affordable? Andros Tavern

You and your date can sit down to a la carte dishes designed for two at Logan Square’s favorite Andros Tavern, where chef Doug Psaltis serves up oysters and caviar topped with shallot and dill ladolemono , seafood orzotto and slow roasted duck in Xinomavro red wine. Santa Monica Summer House

Make a grand gesture for your Valentine’s Day with Summer House Santa Monica’s Roses & Rosé package, which sends a Flowers for Dreams bouquet and a bottle of Summer House rosé to your table. It will go well with the restaurant’s a la carte dishes for Valentine’s Day, such as a prime honeymoon roast for two. Ready to party this Valentine’s Day? Grab tickets for Boka’s three-hour, nine-course dining experience. An optional $165 drink pairing includes wines from around the world, including a very appropriate Valentine’s Day champagne. February 14, $205; reservations available through Knock.

Esme

Another splurge-worthy option: Esme, Lincoln Park’s new fine-dining restaurant, offers a sumptuous six-course tasting menu that incorporates some of Chef Jenner Tomaska’s favorite luxury ingredients (think caviar, wagyu and truffles). For a slightly more streamlined option, opt for the pasta, fish or meat spread and dessert ($150 for two) from Bar Esmé. Feb. 11-13, $295; reservations available through Resy.

Rosemary

Like everything else at Rose Mary, the restaurant’s four-course Valentine’s Day menu is Adriatic-inspired: Look for seafood dishes like tuna crudo with crispy capers, lemon vinaigrette, shallots with beef fat and veal aioli. The dinner ends with an apple crostata topped with salted caramel ice cream. February 12-14, $75; reservations available through OpenTable.

Boulevard Steakhouse

Keep things classic this Valentine’s Day with a three-course meal from BLVD Steakhouse, which features options like French Onion Soup Fondue with Veal Stock and Gruyere or an 8oz Filet Mignon from Creekstone Farms in Kansas. Want to add a little sparkle to your dinner party? Bottles of premium champagne will also be at your disposal. February 12 to 14, $80; reservations available through OpenTable.

The press room

Get into the holiday spirit with heart-shaped beetroot ravioli, seafood towers, hibiscus panna cotta and other romantic dishes available at the prix-fixe Valentine’s Day dinner by The Press Room. Sepia

Andrew Zimmerman’s Michelin-starred restaurant offers an itinerant selection of dishes in its four-course Valentine’s Day dinner, ranging from an éclair of marinated foie gras with blueberries to kanpachi crudo crudo with winter citrus and turnips. The dinner ends sweetly with fresh cream ice cream drizzled with blueberry and white chocolate for dessert. February 12-14, $115; reservations available through the Sepia website.

Geja’s Coffee

This iconic Lincoln Park fondue spot pulls out all the stops for Valentine’s Day, offering a vacation package that begins with a decadent Swiss Gruyere cheese fondue and ends with a pot of Belgian chocolate fondue flambéed next to the table. Bonus for all married lovebirds: On February 7, married couples get 1% off their food bill for each year of marriage (just bring proof)! RPM Seafood

Flat and Point

You can opt for a dine-in tasting menu at this Logan Square eatery, but we love the flexibility of its takeout options for Valentine’s Day weekend: the hearty menu of beets, ricotta and alpine salad from endives, gnocchi and prime ribs are available either preheated and ready to eat, or cold to be reheated later. Lena Brava

You may not have a wood-fired oven in your kitchen, but you can still enjoy a flambé meal at home this Valentine’s Day thanks to Leña Brava’s takeout options for the holidays – choose from dishes like fire-roasted king salmon bathed in chipotle peanut sauce or simmered pork carnitas. Virtue

If you’re not dining on Virtue’s special Valentine’s Day meal (cleverly dubbed “Love is a Virtue”), recreate the experience at home with a customizable three-course assortment of roasted oysters, tenderloin mignon dressed in a rosemary red wine sauce, mascarpone cheesecake and other hearty dishes, plus a bottle of McBride Sisters sparkling rosé. Port Fino Pizzeria

Craving more heart-shaped pizzas? Opt for Pizzeria Portofino’s Valentine’s Day special, which includes vodka rigatoni, Caesar salad, tiramisu, a bottle of Prosecco and a floral centerpiece in addition to a shaped pepperoni pizza of heart. Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab
