Help clean up Chicago’s parks this summer

We’ve seen many Chicagoans help others during the COVID-19 pandemic, now is your chance for your family to help the Chicago Park District.

The Chicago Parks Foundation has created a new volunteer program called Go for the parks. Due to the reduced number of seasonal employees, this citywide initiative encourages anyone to help clean up Chicago’s parks. You can get involved by organizing a volunteer group, attending one of the pre-scheduled park clean-up events, or picking up trash on your own.

The following parks have scheduled cleanup events that you must register for in advance:

Cleaning supplies will be provided to volunteers at events. As always, be sure to wear a face covering and practice social distancing while there.
