Kendall County roads are temporarily closed to production crews

KENDALL COUNTY, IL – A production film crew is working in Kendall County on Wednesday, and some roads are temporarily closed as a result, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office is working with the Yorkville Police Department to police the area where crews will film “Justified: City Primeval,” the reboot of a two-time Emmy-winning FX show titled “Justified,” according to Reel Chicago.

Starting Wednesday, crews are filming episodes one and two of the Detroit show starring Timothy Olyphant, Reel Chicago reported.

Some sections of lane will be temporarily closed, while others will be closed for approximately five minutes at a time. Police said drivers should expect delays until around 6.30pm on Wednesday.

Here’s an overview of the schedule of delays and closures, according to the sheriff’s office:

  • From 8:30 a.m. to noon, traffic will be interrupted intermittently for a maximum of five minutes at a time on Route 47, between Corneils and Galena roads.
  • From 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Galena Road between Little Rock Road and Rock Creek Road will be temporarily closed.
  • From 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Beecher Road, between Galena and Corneils Roads, will be temporarily closed.

“We ask that you plan accordingly and use alternate routes if necessary,” officials said in a Facebook announcement. “We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.”
