In addition to celebrating Bartoli’s birthday this month, Bartoli’s will also be donating a portion of the proceeds from all deep-dish pizzas sold for the month of April to West Town Feeds. West Town Feeds is a community-based program whose daily goal is to provide 50 to 100 hot meals to homeless neighbors.

The cocktail bar located in the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile, will host a Candlelight Happy Hour in honor of Earth Day on Friday, April 22 from 3-7 p.m. and its Spring Equinox seasonal cocktail. 10% of all happy hour sales will be donated directly to FamilyFarmed, a non-profit organization committed to expanding the production, marketing and distribution of locally grown and responsibly produced foods, to improve the social, economic and environmental health of our communities.

The Illinois Restaurant Association will host the 43rd annual Chef’s Table gala presented by Sysco and 8 Hospitality on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 6-10 p.m. at the Theater on the Lake (2401 N Lake Shore Dr.). The annual celebration honors the restaurant industry while raising funds to benefit the IRA Educational Foundation for scholarships and learning opportunities for deserving students. Themed “All Around Chicago,” this year’s gala will pay homage to Chicago’s vibrant neighborhood food scene with tasting stations from more than 25 restaurants, drinks, dancing and a silent auction.

Marvin’s collaborative sandwich series has so far been a smash hit, with chef Mitch Cavanah bringing the visions of some of his most revered local counterparts to life on his menu each month. In May, Chef Mitch joins forces with Top Chef winner Joe Flamm of Rose Mary, a Fulton Market destination restaurant with inspiration from Croatia and the Adriatic. Proceeds from the $16 Rose Mary sandwich in May will go to Lakeview Pantry, a Chicago food pantry since 1970.
